Hello, I’m Katrien

I am offering you the benefit of a career’s worth of experience, a life’s worth of hard-won wisdom, and years of solid coach training and practice. I have worked in international and global roles my entire career, across the world. I’ve lived in five countries.

Before I became a leadership coach I worked as an HR Executive for global companies in tech, biotech and pharma. I know what it is like to lead in a high-paced, complex environment.

My clients tell me that my calm and my no-nonsense approach are my superpowers. I am a skilled listener, and I cut through the noise to zoom in on what truly matters. Respectfully.

I’ve made the pivot to leadership coaching because I love the tangible impact I can have on a leader’s work life, which can even extend to their personal life. The changes I help one leader effect, benefit everyone around them. The leader’s growth ripples out. It makes a real, immediate and long-lasting difference. This is why I love what I do.

I work in English - my adopted near-native language - and Dutch - my original native language.

Leading is about multiplying.

When you take up responsibility beyond your own area of expertise you have to figure out how you add value now. You may be asked for your thoughts on a strategically important issue that you don’t feel qualified to. You may have people on your team who know infinitely more about your field than you do. You want to claim your own space, but not in an aggressive way that is not you.

I can help you cut through the noise and set yourself up to have the impact you want quickly, within the window of opportunity your newbie status affords.

Work with me if you want to create your own serendipity, and if you believe that the greatest value you can bring is in making connections, bringing people and issues together, being a value multiplier.

You are in good hands with me: I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) – certified by the ICF. I have trained with Ben Koh at Coach Masters Academy (Certified Transformational Coach), and with David Peterson, Ph.D. and David Rosenberg at 7 Paths Forward (Advanced Coaching Excellence Practitioner).

I most recently added training in the Neuroscience of Coaching. This has deepened my understanding of how we humans are wired and how incredibly adaptable we are when we put our minds to it. It has also given me new tools to help my coaching clients make progress with changes they've been wanting to make, but have been unable to break free from their default behaviours.

My team coaching qualifications are from Peter Hawkins’ and David Clutterbuck’s Global Team Coaching Institute.
